The demand for halogen-free substrates is high, boosting the operations of Taisol.
Under the rising awareness of environmental protection, Taiko Electric is actively investing in the research and development of environmentally friendly halogen-free substrates, positioning itself as a leading manufacturer of halogen-free substrates globally. Taiko Electric's halogen-free substrates are widely used in mobile phones, LCD TVs, notebooks, and consumer electronics. Currently, the 2W heat dissipation halogen-free substrate being developed is also in the mass production stage. Benefiting from the rise of smartphones and tablet computers, the demand for halogen-free substrates has increased, leading to a rise in Taiko Electric's revenue and production capacity in Q3, restoring the profit levels of Q1. This year, the new factory in the Kunshan Optoelectronics Park is expected to start production in November, with a new output of 300,000 CC per month.

Looking forward to new business opportunities in multi-touch technology.
When it comes to touch electronics, most people instinctively think of smartphones. As smartphone functionalities have improved, touch technology has also continuously advanced and evolved. According to a Digitimes survey report, in 2009, touch panels accounted for about 21% of all mobile phones, but by 2012, this figure is expected to reach around 40%. In the future, touch panels will primarily focus on projected capacitive technology, which has advantages in terms of light transmittance, resolution, and durability compared to traditional capacitive technology. Additionally, the ratio of multi-touch to single-touch, which was 14:86 in 2008, is expected to reach 32:68 by 2010. Therefore, currently, most smartphones...
Success and failure both come from Apple; suppliers have concerns about receiving orders.
Benefiting from the strong sales of Apple computer products, the third quarter financial reports of Apple-related supply chains that have been released show good results. Whether it is metal casings, PCB soft boards, HDI boards, or cooling module manufacturers, both operations and profits in the third quarter are quite impressive. This can be considered a hot sector despite the overall poor economic performance recently. However, under the influence of Apple's price-cutting policy, some panel and printed circuit board manufacturers are unwilling to take losses on Apple orders and are considering shifting towards non-Apple camps. Apple supply chain operators indicate that Apple founder Steve Jobs focused on creativity, while CEO Tim Cook emphasizes cost, along with the trend of smart products moving towards lower prices.
